Returning iPads

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We will be collecting student iPads and chargers the week of May 25th. The exact day will depend on your child’s classroom teacher and what they will be working on in class that week. The very last day students will bring home their iPads is Wednesday,       May 27th.

It is important that students return their iPad with all of the accessories. There is a fee for any items that are not returned. The accessories include the case ($34), cover ($10), USB charging cable ($10), and charging block ($10). Also, there are very important steps that need to be taken at home before your student returns his/her iPad.  Please make sure you work with your child to do the following before the collection time, only if they have signed into iCloud.

1. Go to settings
2. Tap on iCloud
3. Turn off “Find my iPad”
4. Sign out of iCloud

Note:  To successfully work through these steps, you will need to have access to the iCloud username and password you created for your child.  

We will work with students in class to back up their iPad files to Google Drive. This will allow them to have access to their files over the summer as well as next school year.  If you have any questions regarding the iPad collection or backup, please contact your child’s classroom teacher or myself.
