Out of My Mind

We started reading Out of My Mind today!  

Here is the introduction presentation with the ideas we discussed and videos we watched!  It also has the reading requirements at the end! 



We have divided the book into 4 chunks that we will read over the course of 4 weeks. They will be assigned to read one chunk of the novel each week and that will be due each Monday. (Or Tuesday, if we don't have school.) If they save the whole chunk until Sunday to read, it will be overwhelming; please monitor that your child is keeping up with the reading each night (it works out to be about 10 pages a night).  

Don't forget to log your minutes on Biblionasium each night!  Help our school reach ONE MILLION MINUTES!


Chunk 1

• Chapters 1-8
• Sticky Note: Predictions
• Chunk 1 must be finished by 10/13 (Students will have a Kahoot quiz over the reading on this day) 

Chunk 2

• Chapters 9-16
• Sticky Note: Connections
• Chunk 2 must be finished by 10/19 (Students will have a Kahoot quiz over the reading on this day) 

Chunk 3

• Chapters 17-24
• Sticky Note: One Sentence Summary 
• Chunk 3 must be finished by 10/26 (Students will have a Kahoot quiz over the reading on this day) 

Chunk 4

• Chapters 25-end 
• Sticky Note: Prediction, Connection, or Sentence Summary
• Chunk 4 must be finished by 11/2 (Students will have a Kahoot quiz over the reading on this day
