Town Hall for D97 Kids (Grades 3-8)
On Thursday, May 18, the members of District 97's Student Advisory Panel will be hosting a town hall for children in grades three through eight at Julian Middle School from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This student-only session will feature activities that were designed and will be run by the elementary and middle school student leaders who serve on the panel. These activities will help the children get to know each other, and give them the opportunity to share/explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences around the theme of the event, which is "I Belong." Light refreshments will be served. In addition, every attendee will receive a button created by their classmates and a special gift from the district.

Final Horseshoe Hooray Store Donations
The Horseshoe Hooray Store
Needs Donations
The PBIS team is once again organizing for a final, gigantic Horseshoe Hooray Store on Friday, June 2nd. We are looking for donations to help make the store great and allow students to redeem their earned Horseshoe Hoorays. During the month of May, you can send any new or gently used "Summer Fun" items to the office such as balls, games, books, crafts, Frisbees, kites, jump ropes, chalk, bubbles, glow sticks, etc. For example, if you visit stores like Michael's you will see $1 bubble wands which are a big hit. We appreciate your help!

ISO Plastic Water Bottles
Dear Families,
We are collecting clean, empty, plastic water bottles for an activity that ties into our One Book, One School read, Because of Winn-Dixie. If you have any empty bottles, please send them in with your child to bring to the media center. We will also be collecting them in the lunchroom.
Once we have used them for the Winn-Dixie project, we will use them again for an Earth Day project on recycling.
